At Last.
I have a Mac. It's tiny. It's lovely. And when I plugged in a webcam, not only did it not crash, it let me make an animation.
A very tiny one because I really must go and grab some food. But HOORAY! I will be making THINGS soon. Lots and lots of brilliant things. Heh. And hopefully it won't take me nights of trying-to-get-anything-to-work any more.

Viv, would you ever consider coming down to Whitstable by the sea to do a workshop on comic book making or sock zoologic beastie making or anything really? We are an arts centre and during our oyster festival ( where you can go crabbing and build grottos and see fisherman ) we are holding creative workshops for children and peoples! If ever you fancied a train ride out to the edge of this moth eaten part of Kent we would adore to have you! We have admired your beautiful brain and your work for years and so thought we would ask. Yes, truly tiny - even though I see it in the mags and on the net, haven't come across any owner before, so my first reaction was, "where is it - oh, that tiny little thing?" What is the police booth?
I'd like to say it's my time machine, but that is actually on the shelf above where you can't see it.

That is so GREAT! I too am in the market for a mac at the moment. I have a July deadline to get one...I am SO looking forward to a less tempermental computer that works and doesn't come preloaded with a load of crappola from various vendors.
Steph - oh yay, you're going to love it! It'll go with the snazzy new house, too!
Am rather liking mine now, after some initial compatibility grumblings. Must admit more things work rather well instantly than they did on Linux. Doesn't stop me from tinkering, it seems.
Oooh, TARDIS! Another new thing learned today! Wonderful, now you can come over anytime you want to draw some Indian cows :)
(I was going to say tigers but they are so few anyway that I couldn't possibly show them to you.)
